Letter of Intent

January 14th, 2009

Kathy Ryan Chair,
Electronics Industry Hockey Tournament

Dear Kathy,

The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) is pleased to be designated the recipient of the proceeds from the 22nd annual Electronics Industry Hockey Tournament, scheduled to take place April 10 & 11, 2009 at Oakville Canlan IceSports, Oakville Ontario.

Net proceeds from this tournament will go towards funding medical research and education programs. These funds will help bring us closer to our mission to find the cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. We understand that your team entry fee is $1,084 per team - this includes the cost of team raffle tickets. As in previous years, we will issue an income tax receipt for the maximum allowable portion.

The dedication of the Electronics Industry continues to help ensure that medical research into inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) continues, and contributes to ending the pain for the estimated 201,000 Canadian men, women and children who suffer from these terrible diseases. Last year, this event raised more than $15,000 this bringing the total amount raised by this industry to $480,000 over the last 21 years!!

Our sincere thanks to everyone involved in this tournament for the ongoing support. We couldn’t do it without you!

We wish you all the best for 2009 and in exceeding your goals.

Please feel free to use this correspondence as a letter of intent to sponsors and donors. Please co-sign indicating that the information herein is correct and return a copy for our files.
