Electronics Industry Hockey Tournament Rules
NHL rules with the following exceptions:
- Non-contact
- 3 x 10 min. periods, stop time, Running clock in last 5 minutes of
the third period if there is a 5 goal differential.
- All participants must be 19 years of age or older.
- Clear the zone offsides, no centre line for icing calls.
- No centre line for offside passes (two line passes)
- 5 min. fighting major means tournament ejection - gloved punches will be called!
- Third minor/major penalty will result in game ejection
- Home team has choice of sweaters and end of rink
- Full equipment required by all participants
- Fighting major in a final game will result in lifetime tournament ban.
- All high stick infractions will be 4 minute minors.
- There will be no player transfers. Only exception is a goalie substitution from a
lower or equal division and with the opposing captains signature on game sheet.
- Team with most points in their group advances to the finals.
- Friday nights game (i.e. game 1) sheet will be considered the team roster.
(ensure all players for all three games are listed on fridays game sheet)
- Referee can choose to run the clock if there's an altercation after the whistle.
Tie Breaker Rule:
- Winners between the tied teams
- Highest goals for/against differential, with a game max. of 6 goals
- Most goals for
- Least goals against
- Lowest penalty minutes between tied teams.
- Coin toss!
- Cookie toss.
Ties in Championship Games
- 5 minutes overtime, then .
- 5 player shootout, then .
- Sudden death shootout.
The most important rule is:

- Keep it clean
- Be sportsmanlike
- Most of all have a good time!!
